Mervin W. Jordan, 101, Covode, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 5, 1911, in Covode, a son of the late John and Minnie (Wachob) Jordan.
On March 3, 1941, he married Margaret (States) Jordan, who survives.
He was a member of the Covode United Methodist Church.
He enjoyed farming, dogs, family, growing zinnias and gardening.
He was a truck driver for many different employers and companies.
Irene C. Hopkins, 88, Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Mahoning Riverside Manor, Punxsutawney.
She was born July 10, 1924, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Hannon) McCullough.
She was married to James M. “Hoppy” Hopkins, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2008.
She was a member of the SS.C.D. Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
She was a great wife, homemaker and beloved mother to all her children and grandchildren.
She was brought into this world to do what she knew best, and that was to love her husband and children.
Robert A. Hoffman, 80, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at home.
He was born Aug. 3, 1932, in Moulton, Texas, the son of the late Virgil and Mary (Filip) Hoffman.
He married Linda (Lellock) Hoffman on July 3, 1957.
She survives.
He worked as a driller for Petty Geophysical, the Dowell Company and Perry Drilling.
He also was employed as a Service Manager for Lellock Motors.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney.
