Donna Jean Martin, 65

Donna Jean Martin, 65, of Falls Creek, Pa., died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born on March 4, 1947, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of the late Rass & C. Ruth (Jackson) Denton.

On Nov. 11, 1965, she married James H. Martin, Jr. He preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2012.

Donna Jean enjoyed making crafts to show at local fairs.  She loved to shop and spend time with her dog, Shawnee.

Olive (Enterline) Troutman, 88

Olive (Enterline) Troutman, 88, of Hamilton, formerly of the Sprankle Mills area, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1924, in McWilliams, Armstrong County, a daughter of the late Daniel and C. Rhoda (Painter) Enterline.

On Sept. 23, 1940, she married Lee Troutman. He preceded her in death in 1984 in St. Petersburg, Fla.

She attended the Hamilton Methodist Church, and was a member of the Ladies Aid for many years.

Olive was a member of the Punxsy Senior Center.

Austin William Hogan, PhD, 76

Austin William Hogan, PhD, 76, of Barton Road, died on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH.

He was born in Johnstown, NY, Sept. 26, 1936, the son of Austin Seaman and Gladys (Weeper) Hogan.

Austin graduated from Fultonville High School in 1954. He attended college in New York at Maritime College, then graduated with a degree in physics from Harpur College in Binghamton, NY. He defended his Doctoral thesis at Hokkaido University in Sapporo, Japan in 1976.
