Anthony Cipolla, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston, N.Y.

Born in Dayton, Pa., he was the son of the late Joseph and Christine (Altimore) Cipolla. Anthony attended schools in both Rossiter and Punxsutawney.

Afterwards, he served in the United States Army from Jan. 9, 1946, until his honorable discharge on June 20, 1947, and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Japanese Occupation Medal.
