John R. Kennis, 91, Henderson Township, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at his residence following a short illness.
He was born Dec. 10, 1921, in Soldier, Pa., a son of the late Peter Kennis Sr. and Mary (Gilga) Kennis.
May 4, 1946, he married Ora Mae Shepler Kennis, who survives.
Mr. Kennis was a dairy farmer and a laborer for Interstate Amesite.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Church in Sykesville.
He had a love of land.
Jessie A. Waggoner, 64, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Mrs. Waggoner was born April 17, 1948, in DuBois, a daughter of the late Ward Glen Manners and Lottie Mae (Riley) Manners.
She was married to Walter E. Waggoner, who survives, of Punxsutawney.
