Stanley Richard Clawson, 70

Stanley Richard Clawson, 70, Indiana, died Monday Sept. 10, 2012, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 23, 1942, in Vandergrift, Pa., a son of William and Frances (Wyant) Clawson.

Mr. Clawson was self-employed as a shoe repairman. He opened his first shop in Kittanning and then expanded to locations in Punxsutawney and DuBois.

In his free time, he enjoyed hunting.

Jack H. Dodson, 75

Jack H. Dodson, 75, of Greensburg, formerly of Marion Center, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at Westmoreland Manor.

He was born July 26, 1937, in Rochester Mills, a son of the late Richard and Alta (Henry) Dodson.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Dodson had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

He was an Army member and a life member of the AMVETS Post 88 and South Greensburg Hunt club.

He was also a member of the VFW Post 33, the Loyal Order of the Moose 1151, both of Greensburg, and the American Legion Post 981 of South Greensburg.

Robert E. Vallies, 74

Robert E. Vallies, 74, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Vallies was born Jan. 18, 1938, in DuBois, a son of the late Leon Vallies and Nellie (Brocious) Vallies.

He worked for Ames Lumber Company, Bullers Coal Mines & Doverspike Brothers Coal Company before retiring.

Robert is survived by his wife, Alice (Beck) Vallies of Punxsutawney.
