Phyllis E. Swineford, 88, of Airport Rd., Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at McKinley Health Center.
She was born Sept. 4, 1923, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William Wyant and Ruth Armstrong Wyant.
Sept. 13, 1941, in Punxsutawney, she married Harry W. "Filse" Swineford, who preceded her in death March 13, 1996.
Phyllis was a homemaker and was known as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Agnes M. Grusky, 90, of Johnstown, formerly of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 17, 1921, in Glen Campbell, Pa., to the late Stanley and Mary (Charculla) Brink.
Agnes was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in New Alexandria and its Rosary Altar Society. She prayed the Rosary faithfully, and enjoyed country music, polkas, cards, and going to casinos and playing bingo. She will be sadly missed be her family and friends.
