Marie Anna Petrick, 88

July 2, 2012

Marie Anna Petrick, 88, of New Alexandria, formerly of Indiana, went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 2, 2012.

She was born May 1, 1924, in Anita, a daughter of Michael and Mary (Gibart) Petrick.

Prior to her retirement, Miss Petrick had worked in retail sales.

She was a member of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are two distant cousins, Francis E. and Joseph F. Renosky.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a cousin, Margaret (Barna) Renosky.

David Gillespie, Rossiter, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

Arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Punxsutawney.

Paul Edward Montgomery, 84

July 1, 2012

Paul Edward Montgomery, 84, Punxsutawney, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 30, 2012.

He was born Oct. 16, 1927, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William H. and Edith (Ely) Montgomery.

Mr. Montgomery was employed for numerous years by Currys Supply Depot, located near Pittsburgh.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army.

Mr. Montgomery resided in Pittsburgh for most of his life and was an avid sports fan of the Pirates and Penguins.

He enjoyed volunteering at food banks, gardening and meeting new people.

Ethel P. Smith White, 86

Ethel P. Smith White, 86, Indiana, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at Maple Valley Personal Care Home.

She was born Oct. 8, 1925, in Indiana, a daughter of the late Homer C. and Vera V. (States) Smith.

Mrs. White was a graduate of Laurel Lamar High School.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking and baby-sitting her grandchildren.

Mrs. White was a member of the Alliance Church in Indiana and its Senior Citizen’s Ladies of the Church.
