John Andrew “Simon” Meterko, 77

John Andrew “Simon” Meterko, 77, Delancey, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born May 6, 1934, in Delancey, a son of the late John Andrew and Susie (Pluchinskey) Meterko.

In August 1962, he married the former Adda Louise Biggie, who survives.

He was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.

A man of strong faith, with a dedication to his daily prayers, he prayed for many people and causes.

Mr. Meterko was a self-employed carpet installer and a hardworking man who worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
