Thelma Jane (Crawford) Barnett, 87

Thelma Jane (Crawford) Barnett, 87, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 14, 2012.

She was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Hawthorne, to the late Ellwood and Catherine (Lankerd) Crawford.

July 17, 1951, she married Dale Barnett, who preceded her in death Jan. 25, 1990.

The couple had built their home just south of Brookville, off Route 36.

Beatrice Marie (Snyder/Minich) Gray, 94

Beatrice Marie (Snyder/Minich) Gray, 94, Plumville, formerly of Porter Township, went to be with her Lord Monday, April 16, 2012, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born Nov. 29, 1917, in Erie, the eldest daughter of John Wesley and Emma Virginia (Gray) Snyder.

Beatrice was a devoted Christian who, over her lifetime, was active in a number of churches and organizations. In recent years, these included the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Sagamore, God’s Missionary Church of Millmont, Colton Wesleyan Church of Colton, N.Y., and Penn View Bible Institute of Penns Creek.

Virginia A. “Ginny” MacKenzie, 87, Punxsutawney, died Monday, April 16, 2012, at Dubois Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Anita, a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Alberta M. (Brown) Anderson.

Nov. 16, 1946, she married Robert J. MacKenzie, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the St. Peters United Church of Christ.

She formerly lived in Philadelphia and resided in Sarasota, Fla., six months out of the year.

Mrs. MacKenzie was a member of the Punxsutawney Country Club and enjoyed playing bridge.
