John Smilo, 87, Glen Campbell, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born Aug. 5, 1924, in Grant Township, Indiana County, a son of the late Joseph and Justina (Ivanko) Smilo.
June 15, 1957, Mr. Smilo married his wife of 54 years, Irene (Hook) Smilo, who survives.
He served as Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Mr. Smilo was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Urey, where he had actively served his church in many capacities through the years.
Catherine L. “Cathy” (Gernat) Wesdock, 80, Punxsutawney, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 5, 2012.
She was born Jan. 6, 1932, in DeLancey, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Gaydos) Gernat.
She graduated from Punxsutawney Area High in 1949.
Nov. 11, 1961, she married Thomas G. Wesdock, who preceded her in death Feb. 16, 2005.
March 5th
William D. Campbell, 59, Punxsutawney, died Sunday, March 4, 2012.
He was born Oct. 20, 1952, in Sewickley, a son of the late William George and Audrey Grace (Uncapher) Campbell.
He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering around, spending time with his family and being a practical joker.
Mr. Campbell was a former member of the ISDA and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Phyllis Arlene Kunselman, 81, Cloe, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Jan. 3, 1931, in Yatesboro, a daughter of the late Ira A. and Evelyn (Kennedy) Mauk.
Aug. 29, 1948, she married C. Merle "Guber" Kunselman, who preceded her in death April 15, 2006.
Mrs. Kunselman was a charter member of the F.O. Eagles No. 1231.
She was employed by Sylvania, Cameron, Rola Jensen and was a manager of Paris Cleaners before retiring in 1992.
Gladys C. Morrison, 92, Laurelbrooke Drive, Brookville, formerly of East Main Street, Brookville, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at McKinley Health Center.
She was born Sept. 24, 1919, in Falls Creek, a daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie (Matthewes) Chittester.
June 8, 1946, in Brookville, she married William L. Morrison Jr., who preceded her in death Jan. 8, 2012.
A homemaker, Mrs. Morrison was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Brookville and a past Matron of Honor of the O.E.S. No. 320 of Brookville.

March 4th
John William "Bill" Lott, 82, Big Run, died Saturday, March 3, 2012, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 27, 1929, in Reynoldsville, a son of the late Irvin and Ethel (Scaddin) Lott.
He was married to Vivian (Carney) Lott, who preceded him in death July 4, 2009.
Mr. Lott was an operating engineer for the Bracken Construction Co. and served as a 3rd Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a member of Dad's Horseshoe Club and was a past president of the Groundhog CB Club.
Phyllis Kunselman, 81, Rossiter, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

March 2nd
Mildred Bellas, 94, formerly of Rockland Avenue, died Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Wellington Heights.
She was born May 7, 1917, in Idamar, a daughter of the late John and Catherine (Cicaniak) Kutney. Â
She was the last surviving member of her family.
Nov. 25, 1939, she married Dominick Joseph Bellas, who preceded her in death July 6, 1990. They were married for 50 years.
She was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Bellas enjoyed her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed crocheting.
Joan Mae Hoffman, 73, Brookville, died Friday, March 2, 2012, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 11, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late George C. and Lorraine Mary Clay Brobeck.
May 16, 1957, in Slippery Rock, she married George M. Hoffman, who survives.
Mrs. Hoffman worked for Fidelity Trust Bank in Pittsburgh, as a secretary for the Presbyterian Church in Brookville, a cashier at South Side Market in Brookville, and as a secretary for the American Red Cross in Brookville. She was also a Welcome Wagon Hostess for 10 years in Brookville.
