Ronald Newcome, Jr., 70

Ronald Newcome, Jr., 70, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Dubois Regional Medical Center.

He was born June 11, 1941 in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Ronald W. Newcome, Sr. and Mabel (Dinger) Newcome.

Sept. 8, 1962, he married Donna Belle Smith, who survives.

He was the Pastor of the Maple Grove Church of God.

He loved his family, his church family, hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He spent a lot of his time at the church.

He was a loving caretaker to his wife and a loving father to his children.

He was an equipment operator for the P&N Coal Company.

James R. Dinger, 71

James R. Dinger, 71, Harrisville, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

He was born July 20, 1940, in Knox Dale, a son of the late Charles I. and Anna May C. (Miller) Dinger.

April 29, 1961, he married Helen E. (Shaffer) Dinger, of Harrisville, who survives.

Mr. Dinger was employed as a machinist at Pulva Corp. of Saxonburg, retiring in June 2011 after 16 years of service. He was formerly employed at the former Cooper-Bessemer Co. in Grove City.

He was a member of the West Unity Community Church in Harrisville.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Shirley L. McMillen, 69

Shirley L. McMillen, 69, Brookville, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

She was born Jan. 2, 1943, in Falls Creek, a daughter of the late William David and Mary C. Barnett Stauffer.

Ms. McMillen attended Reynoldsville High School.

She was formerly married to William Dale McMillen, who preceded her in death March 10, 1991.

Ms. McMillen was a waitress for 22 years at Truck Stops of America.

She was an active member of her church, the First Assembly of God in Punxsutawney.
