Mary Jane Bodenhorn, 91, County Acres Personal Care Home, Titusville, formerly of Punxsutawney, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 24, 2012.
She was born May 1, 1920, in Colombus, Ohio, the youngest daughter of the late James and Nannie Mae Sims.
She was the beloved wife of Paul N. Bodenhorn Sr., whom she married Jan. 26, 1943, and who preceded her in death Dec. 27, 1974.
Mrs. Bodenhorn had been a secretary for Canoe Township for 20 years and held many positions while living at Mahoning Towers.
Betty Stear Long, 97, a longtime resident of Punxsutawney, passed away Feb. 1, 2012, at Brighton Gardens in Raleigh, N.C., after a brief illness.
She was born Sept. 25, 1914, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Jean and Frank Stear.
After graduating from Punxsutawney High School in 1931, she attended Indiana State Teachers’ College and was a third-grade teacher in the Punxsutawney schools until 1939, when she married Jesse P. Long, the love of her life.
Shirley L. McMillen, 69, Brookville, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at McKinley Heath Center in Brookville.

Pearl David (P.D.) Lott, 94, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2012, at Beacon Ridge in Indiana.
He was born July 6, 1917, in Big Run, a son of the late David and Elizabeth A. (Wise) Lott.
Dr. Lott began his education in a one-room country school in Jefferson County, skipped two grades and graduated from Big Run High School. A 1937 graduate of Indiana State Teachers College (IUP), he later earned both a master’s degree and a doctorate in education from Penn State University.Â
