Dorothy Mae Nicholson, 75

Dorothy Mae Nicholson, 75, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Nicholson was born Dec. 10, 1936, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Eugene and Faye (Young ) Jordan.

On March 27, 1956, she married her husband, Harold M. Nicholson, who survives, of Punxsutawney.

Mrs. Nicholson attended the First Church of God.

She enjoyed collecting angels, vacationing in Myrtle Beach for the winter, going to church camp and spending time with her grandchildren.

Harry V. Nicholson, 81

Harry V. Nicholson, 81, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at home.

He was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Harry Lee and Iva O. (Williams) Nicholson.

On August 16, 1957, he married Helen I. (Fox) Nicholson, who preceded him in death on Oct. 4, 1997.

On July 24, 1999, he then married Bernice L. (Kramer) Nicholson, who survives.

He was an elementary principal in the Punxsutawney Area School District for 15 years.

He also taught in the Punxsutawney and DuBois Area School Districts for 20 years.

Herman Rehar, 83

Herman Rehar, 83, of Kramer, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012, at Christ the King Manor after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 21, 1929, in Penn Hills, a son of the late Anton and Jennie (Marincic) Rehar.

Mr. Rehar worked at Brockway Clay for 22 years and retired from the Reynoldsville Casket Company.

He served in the U.S. Army, 5th Armored Division, during the Korean Conflict.

He was Catholic by faith.

Mr. Rehar loved entertaining his friends by playing the accordion.
