Vincent L. Haney, 96

Vincent L. Haney, 96, of Punxsutawney, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at DuBois Nursing Home.

Mr. Haney was born Jan. 26, 1916, in Cloe, a son of the late William A. Haney and Minnie Mae (Yost) Haney.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mae (Vadasy) Haney, on Jan. 10, 2012.

He attended the Cloe United Methodist Church.

Mr. Haney was a carpenter by trade for many years and also worked for the B&O Railroad.

He was very creative at remodeling homes and was the founder of Haney Builders.

Judy Marie (Beatty) Miller, 49

Judy Marie (Beatty) Miller, 49, of Anita, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.

She was born March 18, 1963, in Brookville, a daughter of the late John Alfred and Sally Vallette (McMillen) Beatty.

She was a 1982 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School.

On May 7, 2005, she married Samuel Joseph Miller, Jr., who survives.

Judy had previously worked at County Market, Frank ‘n Steins, the PA Memorial Home and Christ the King Manor.

She enjoyed quilting, camping, fishing and hunting with her husband.

Grace LaRue Byerly, 90

Grace LaRue Byerly, 90, of Coolspring died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in Mahaffey.

She was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Timblin, a daughter of the late Joseph Calvin and Charlotte Catherine (Lingenfelter) Shovestull.

On June 18, 1941, she married Daniel S. Byerly. He preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1998.

She attended the Coolspring United Methodist Church.

Grace had previously worked at Laurel Haven in Brookville for 38 years. She had also worked at Sylvania and Loree Footwear.

Donna J. Neiswonger, 76

Donna J. Neiswonger, 76, of Shippenville (formerly of Warren), died Monday evening Dec. 3, 2012, at the Golden Living Center in Shippenville. Born July 25, 1936, in Timblin, she was the daughter of Samuel W. and Mary S. (Guthrie) Umberhocker.

She worked in the Warren Process (Blair), and she also enjoyed babysitting. She attended Punxsutawney High School.

Donna is survived by one sister Violet Hill of Clarion; one brother Darl
Umberhocker of Summerville (Pansy); and two nieces, Darlene and
Allen Campbell of Summerville and Patty Best and son Matthew Best of Shippenville.
