Claire Dinger, 82, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at home.
She was born Sept. 16, 1930, in Coolspring, a daughter of the late Mervin and Ethel (Doverspike) Straitiff.
On Oct. 14, 1948, she married Carl Ervin Dinger, who preceded her in death on Jan. 2, 1994.
Mrs. Dinger was an active member of the Frostburg Methodist Church.
She was also a member of the Punxsutawney Garden Club and a Quilting Club.
She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and several card clubs.
Ronald Leroy Zimmerman, 50, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Pittsburgh.
He was born Dec. 22, 1961, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late William Riley and Martha Kramer Zimmerman.
He was a school bus driver for the Krise Bus Co. of Punxsutawney.
He is survived by three nieces, Marie Reesman, Tina McCracken and April Zimmerman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
At the family's request there will be no visitation, and services are private at the convenience of the family
Jerry Wymer Sr., 76, of Big Run, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Mr. Wymer was born Oct. 9, 1936, in Killbuck, New York, a son of the late Raymond Sr. and Ardetia (Crandell) Wymer.
He was a member of the St. Phillips United Methodist Church in Big Run.
Mr. Wymer served in the United States Army.
On Feb. 9, 1963, he married the former Marion Lee Reiter. She survives.
Jerry worked as manager at Western Union Telegraph, on the B&O Railroad as a carpenter, and retired as a janitor for the Punxsutawney Area School District.
Clarence Franklin â€śBuckâ€ť Raybuck, 87, formerly of Summerville, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at McKinley Health Center.
He was born Feb. 9, 1925, in Heathville, a son of the late Franklin Harold and Ella Miranda (Hetrick) Raybuck.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving his country during World War II. During his service, he earned the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal.
On June 30, 1946, he married the former Sara Jane Hannold. She preceded him in death on July 8, 2009.
Anna M. Serge, 87, of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Serge was born Dec. 24, 1924, in Valier, a daughter of the late Nicholas Schepis and Mary (Sano) Schepis.
Nov. 11, 1947, she married the love of her life, Joseph M. Serge, who preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2012.
Mrs. Serge was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
She worked many years as a legal secretary for Attorneys Ferraro and Young before retiring.
Ronald Zimmerman, 50, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Heartland Health Care Center in Pittsburgh.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
Carl E. Benson, Sr., 78, of Punxsutawney, passed from this life on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, and into Godâ€™s eternal glory while surrounded by family who were lifting him up in prayer.
Born April 13, 1934, Carl was the son of Oscar C. and Henrietta M. (Harrold) Benson.
He was also a son of God, through his acceptance of his Heavenly Fatherâ€™s plan of salvation. He lived a life that was defined by his love for these two families: earthly and spiritual.
Ruth I. Greenawalt, 90, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at AM/PM Personal Care Home.
She was born July 26, 1922, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late James and Sarah Jane â€śJennieâ€ť (Sheesley) McClincy.
On Feb. 9, 1946, she married the late Clarence A. Greenawalt, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1985.
She worked in the office at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital for 24 years.
She was a member of the Punxsutawney Baptist Church and a member of the Historical Society for 18 years.
Betty A. Shirley, 86, of Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
Mrs. Shirley was born Nov. 3, 1926, in Walston, a daughter of the late Gustave W. Burkholtz and Lula Mae (Salsgiver) Burkholtz.
She was married to Ronald E. Shirley, who survives, of Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Shirley was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
She worked many years at Loree Footwear before retiring.
She was a member of the Punxsutawney Senior Center and former president of the Grandmothersâ€™ Club.
Richard L. Brown, 73, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, went home to be with his Saviour on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at his home.

He was born on July 7, 1939, in Rochester Mills, Pa. to the late Louise (nee Work) and Richard C. Brown.
He gathered with the Christians at Myrtle Street Meeting for many years.
He was a barber for 46 years, Owner of Brownâ€™s Westgate Barber Shop for 20 years and worked at Terex, GM for more than 8 years.
