Beatrice "Betty" Evelyn (Blose) Mumau was born in Blose Hollow (near Wilgus, Pa.) on July 13, 1917.
She grew up with 11 siblings and regaled friends and family her whole life with magical tales of goings-on and family reunions — especially the famous Blose Reunion — in the Hollow.
Living to the ripe age of 95, Betty would often wistfully remark, "I am the last leaf on the tree.”
She was married in 1936 to Robert J. Mumau, who preceded her in death in 1984.
