Harold Leroy Blystone, 77

Harold Leroy Blystone, 77, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

He was born March 15, 1934, in Center Township, Indiana County, a son of the late Blaine and Lilly Catherine (Butler) Blystone.

He was Methodist by faith.

Mr. Blystone worked as a farm hand on various farms in Pennsylvania and New York.

He enjoyed collecting cassette tapes and videos. He also liked to cook, especially fried green tomatos.

Lysle Clair Bailey, 67

November 16, 2011

Lysle Clair Bailey, 67, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at home.
He was born Aug. 28, 1944, in Kittanning, a son of the late William W. and Helen L. (White) Bailey.

Mr. Bailey was retired from Rola-Jensen Inc. in Punxsutawney.

He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army, attaining the rank of private first class E-3.

He was an avid area bowler.

Surviving relatives include a brother, William W. Bailey Jr. and wife Connie of Beaver Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no public viewing or services.

Dr. Lucinda Hart-González, 61

Dr. Lucinda Hart-González, 61, co-founder of Paradise Gardens and Farm, an organic farm and goat milk creamery at 2771 Paradise Rd., Reynoldsville, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at her sister's home in Concord, Mass., after a six-month battle with lung cancer.

She was born March 31, 1950, in Oakland, Calif., a daughter of Dr. Edward W. and Flori (Feder) Hart.

Dr. Hart-González graduated from Niskayuna High School in Schenectady, N.Y., in 1967, and received her bachelor's degree from UMass-Boston and her master's and doctorate in sociolinguistics from Georgetown University in 1980.

Dylan N. "Shorty" Behrendt, 19

November 14, 2011

Dylan N. “Shorty” Behrendt, 19, Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Nov. 12, 2011, in Armstrong County.

He was born Nov. 10, 1992, in DuBois, the son of Daniel Behrendt Sr., who survives, of Punxsutawney, and the late Roberta M. (Mietkiewicz) Behrendt.

He was a 2011 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. He was a member of the Ski Club and enjoyed dirt bikes, hunting, snowboarding and his friends. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, “Uncle Pickle” and true friend who will be greatly missed.

Sean D. McConnaughey, 18

Sean D. McConnaughey, 18, Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, in Armstrong County.

He was born June 3, 1993, in Punxsutawney, the son of Brian and Dotti L. (McConnaughey) Gaffney, who survive, of Punxsutawney.

He was a 2011 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.

He was employed by Proform Powdered Metals.

Sean loved skateboarding, swimming and his friends. A loving son, brother, grandson and true friend, he will be greatly missed.

Joel William Riggleman, 18

Joel William Riggleman, 18, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

He was born Dec. 16, 1992 in Punxsutawney, a son of Drinda Sue (Stuchell) Smith and husband Brian of Punxsutawney, and Mitchell Allen Riggleman and wife Mary Beth of Trafford.

Mr. Riggleman was a 2011 graduate of PunxsutawneyArea High School and attended the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.

He was employed by 5 Star Frac Support Service.  He was a hard worker and spent a lot of time working.

Judith L. Tollini, 67

Judith L. Tollini, 67, Rockton, formerly of Rossiter, passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 15, 1944, in DuBois, the daughter of the late George and Violet (Schrecengost) Pentz.

She married Donald Tollini, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Tollini was employed at Loree Shoe Factory and K-Mart in the accounting department.

She was a member of Saint Francis of Assisi in Rossiter and the Rossiter American Legion Auxiliary.

Rudy Kos, 81,

November 12, 2011

Rudy Kos, 81, Stump Creek, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

He was born Dec. 17, 1929, in Central City, a son of the late Frank and Frances (Zakraisek) Kos.

July 12, 1969, he married Martha (McMains) Curley Kos, who survives, of DuBois.

Mr. Kos graduated from Sykesville High in 1948.

He worked for BFGoodrich and Rola-Jensen Corp in Punxsutawney
A veteran, he served as an Army corporal during the Korean conflict.
Mr. Kos was Catholic by faith.

 He enjoyed his family, gardening and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

William R. Baker, 76

November 11, 2011

William “Bill” Ralph Baker, 76, Smicksburg, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 4, 1935, in Rayne Township, Indiana County, a son of the late Royden W. and Ethel W. (Lamer) Baker.

May 19, 1956, he married the former Stella Louise Lowman, who survives.
Mr. Baker was a farmer and a school bus driver for the Marion Center School District.

He enjoyed his family and grandchildren, hunting, fishing and gun bashes. He especially liked gun shoots with his granddaughter.

He was a member of the Keystone Sportsmen's Club and the NRA.

Ralph B. Sprague, 81

Ralph B. Sprague, 81, Reynoldsville, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Dec. 5, 1929, in Winslow Township, a son of the late Eugene W. and Esther A. (Strouse) Sprague.

Oct. 15, 1948, he married Grace L. (Buhite) Sprague, who survives.

Mr. Sprague was a retired area farmer and member of the Paradise Church of Christ, Reynoldsville.
