Jamey Eugene Stormer, 41, Somerset, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011, in Somerset.
He was born Aug. 16, 1970, in Brookville, a son of the late Robert E. Stormer and Margaret (Shirey) Stormer, who survives.
He was a carpenter and member of the Pine Valley United Methodist Church and the Worthville United Methodist Church.
December 6th
Josephine Shema, 78, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born April 11, 1933, in DeLancey, a daughter of the late John and Helen (Shutyak) Shema Sr.
Ms. Shema was a retired loan officer with S&T Bank with more than 30 years of service. She was also a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church.
Surviving relatives include a niece, Linda Wadell; and three nephews, Larry Shema, William Shema and Andy Shema.
Robert Dale Shick, 90, Punxsutawney, formerly of Treasure Lake, DuBois, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at Nelsonâs Golden Years.
He was born June 23, 1921, in Allens Mills, a son of the late Elmer Jesse and Ruth Naomi (Copen) Shick.
Jan. 7, 1951, he married Kathleen âKayâ Taylor Hoover Shick, who preceded him in death July 28, 1997.
Mr. Shick was a former employee of Jackson China, where he was a foreman for 10 years. He also was a retired, self-employed home builder and a life member of First United Methodist Church.

Toby Keith Travis, 37, Punxsutawney, died Dec. 3, 2011, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Jan. 24, 1974, in DuBois, a son of Kenneth C. Travis, who survives, of Reynoldsville, and Sally (Kennedy) Travis, who survives, of Punxsutawney.
Mr. Travis was an artist who liked to draw.
An organ donor, he was also a member of the F.O. Eagles No. 1231.
December 1st
Sheryl P. McLaughlin, 71, Tuscaloosa, Ala., died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama In-patient Facility.
She was born in Mercersburg, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William A. Patterson.
She was married to her husband of 50 years, Richard R. McLaughlin.
Mrs. McLaughlin earned a B.A. degree in elementary education at Grove City College.
She served as an assistant director of preschool of the First Baptist Church and later as director of the SS.C.D. preschool from 1993 to 1997 in Punxsutawney.
November 30th
Alvin Eugene Remaley, 75, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1936, in Big Run, a son of Cecile (States) Remaley and the late John Remaley.
Mr. Remaley was a member of the Smithtown Community Church in Falls Creek.
In addition to his mother, surviving relatives include two sons, Jeffrey A. Remaley of Ohio, and Todd A. Remaley of Florida; two daughters, Beth A. Remaley, and Joan A. Remaley-Zovko, both of Ohio; and two brothers, Edward Remaley of Brookville, and Ronald Remaley of Everett.
Wilma G. Haines, 93, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011.
She was born in Indiana County, a daughter of the late Ralph W. and Clara Gall of Punxsutawney.
She was married to Dr. W, Ardell Haines, who preceded her in death, of Sun City West, Ariz.
November 29th
Blair Irvin Askey, 87, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at DuBois Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 12, 1923, in DuBois, a son of the late Clyde and Blanche (Johnston) Askey.
March 28, 1944, in Penn Township, he married Helen M. (Ritz) Askey, who preceded him in death July 21, 1988.
Mr. Askey was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in Central Europe in the 326th Glider Infantry.
He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and liked to fish and hunt. He loved tending to the farm and his animals.
Karen Elaine Campbell, 61, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born April 6, 1950, in Starford, a daughter of the late Darl and Alice (Paul) Pounds.
Ms. Campbell was a homemaker and a member of the F.O. Eagles. She was also a member of the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church.
Joan Wilma Schopperth, 78, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Nov. 28, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Patterson, N.J., a daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Degelman.
She married Timothy Schopperth, who survives, of Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Schopperth was a homemaker and a member of the Chestnut Grove Independent Church in Punxsutawney.
