Rose Marie Ferraraccio, 91

Rose Marie Ferraraccio, 91, formerly of Spring Avenue in DuBois, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Christ the King Manor.

She was born March 12, 1920, in DuBois, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Helen (Cook) Schalk.

June 14, 1946, she married John Rubino Ferraraccio, who preceded her in death March 17, 1998.

She was a homemaker and co-owner of Ferraraccio Bros. Service Station on Franklin Street in DuBois.

John Donald Filipovich Sr., 80

John Donald Filipovich Sr., 80, of Creekside, died Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.

Known to everyone as "Don," he was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Adrian, the son of William J. and Pauline (Kutoloski) Filipovich Sr.

Mr. Filipovich and his family relocated to Indiana in 1941, and at the age of 10, he began delivering newspapers.

Lois L. “Sis” Shaffer, 78

Lois L. “Sis” Shaffer, 78, a guest at Jefferson Manor, Brookville, and formerly of Coolspring, died Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Jefferson Manor.

She was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Pine Creek Township, a daughter of the late Wilbert Byron and Twila Rebecca (Osborne) Wolfe.

Sept. 11, 1952, in Brookville, she married Lee Shaffer, who preceded her in death Jan. 28, 2009.

Mrs. Shaffer was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at the Brookville Glove Factory for more than 15 years

Daryl M. Kicher, 84, Punxsutawney, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Wellington Heights.

He was born Sept. 30, 1926, in Sykesville, a son of the late Joseph and Lydia (Burhenn) Kicher.

Aug. 19, 1948, he married E. Jean Hoover, who preceded him in death Nov. 19, 1980.

Mr. Kicher worked for Auto Parts in Punxsutawney and the U.S. Postal Service.

He attended the Chestnut Grove Independent Church and enjoyed playing tennis, gardening and traveling.

Surviving relatives include two daughters, Nancy Kicher of Forest, Va., and Jackie Pryber of Knox; and two granddaughters.
