Bethany “Beth†Sue Peterson, 29

Bethany “Beth†Sue Peterson, 29, Clymer, died Monday, July 25, 2011, in Grant Township, Indiana County.

She was born Oct. 2, 1981, in Indiana, the daughter of Larry G. and Glenda S. (Edwards) Peterson, who survive, of Clymer.

Miss Peterson was a member of the Marion Center First United Methodist Church in Marion Center, where she was active with the church’s music ministry. She served as the choir accompanist; played piano for Sunday services; and was a member of both the bell choir and the brass ensemble.

Kathleen "Kathie" Shepherd, 67

Kathleen "Kathie" Shepherd, 67, Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at her residence.

She was born April 20, 1944, in Dayton, a daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Icher) McKain.

Aug. 7, 1987, she married Wes K. Shepherd, who survives.

Mrs. Shepherd was the regional commissioner for the New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York Scottish Highland Clan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two aunts, Mildred and Ethel Icher.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, in the Rural Valley Cemetery.

John “Andy†Todd, 90

John “Andy†Todd, 90, passed from this life Sunday, July 24, 2011. 

He was born Jan. 22, 1921, in Jefferson County, a son of the late John H. and Edna Lingenfelter Todd.

Mr. Todd served in the Army Air Corps in 1942 and served in various stateside locations and on the island of Tinian until December 1945.
While in Great Bend, Kan., Mr. Todd met Arlene Notestine. After the war, he returned to Burdett, Kan., and they wed Jan. 25, 1946. She preceded him in death.
