Gary B. Travis, 48, Reynoldsville, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, following an auto accident along Route 36, near Punxsutawney.
He was born Oct. 5, 1962, in DuBois, a son of Marie (Manners) Travis, who survives, of Reynoldsville, and the late Nolan Travis.
Mr. Travis was employed by Smith Drilling, where he was a well driller, and he was a member of the Eagles Club, Walston Club and St. Joseph Club.
He loved the outdoors, as well as both hunting and fishing.
Peggy J. (Bracken) Price, 64, Burnside, died Sunday, July 24, 2011, at her home.
With heavy hearts, we say good-bye to our wife, mother, Nana and friend, who died after a recent diagnosis of cancer.
Mrs. Price was a long-time devoted member of the Burnside Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, where she shared her love of the Lord with the community children as a Sunday School teacher,VBS teacher and youth leader. She was also a member of the choir and quartet, as well as being instrumental in planning many of the holiday activities at the church.
Phyllis M. Hoover-Russert, 80, Mayport, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Lane Avenue Personal Care Home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1930, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Cyrus F. and Anna Mae (Miller) Gahagen.
She was married to Charles Ray Hoover, who preceded her in death. She then married George T. Russert Jr., who also preceded her in death.
Ms. Hoover-Russert was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Trade City and also a member of the Mahoning Grange in Trade City. She was also a long-time employee at the former Farmers & Miners Bank and S&T Bank.
Ronald E. Lingenfelter, 73, currently of York, formerly of Stewartstown, died Thursday, July 21, 2011, at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.
He was the husband of Norma J. (Martz) Lingenfelter, to whom he was married 51 years.
A memorial service will take place Saturday, July 30, 2011, at the Stewartstown Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 14 College Ave., Stewartstown, beginning with Masonic Rites at 1 p.m. by the Shrewsbury F & AM Lodge No. 423.
Pastor Howard Edmondson and Rev. Barry Robison will officiate.
