Darrell F. Bowser, 66, Mahaffey, died Monday, June 6, 2011, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Mahaffey, a son of the late Frank M. and Dorothy Mae (Peace) Bowser.
April 26, 1969, he married Lana N. (Russell) Bowser, who survives, of Mahaffey.
Mr. Bowser was the owner of Bowser Precision in Mahaffey. He loved turkey hunting, fishing, weekends at camp with the guys, riding horses, gardening and the outdoors. He drove racecar No. 89 and was the former Rookie of the Year in the coupe division.
David D. Geer, 55, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born Jan. 20, 1956, in Brookville, a son of the late David E. and Betty J. (Smith) Geer.
July 18, 1987, in Punxsutawney, he married Leona M. “Sue” Courson, who survives.
Mr. Geer was employed by Humphrey Charcoal in Brookville and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie No. 983 in Brookville.
Lilly “Sue” Pearce, 81, a resident of Beaver Elder Care & Rehab Center, Hopewell Township, and formerly a lifelong resident of Ambridge, died Monday, June 6, 2011.
She was born Oct. 26, 1929, in Sykesville, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Maude (Craft) Fleeger.
For 61 years, she was married to Howard C. Pearce, who preceded her in death in December 2007.
Mrs. Pearce was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ambridge.
Douglas H. Snyder, 56, Mayport, died suddenly Saturday, June 4, 2011, in Newark, N.J.
He was born July 26, 1954, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Howard D. “Snitz” and Sarah Josephine “Jo” (Caylor) Snyder.
Dec. 13, 1997, he married Doris J. (Hendricks) Snyder, who survives, of Mayport.
Mr. Snyder drove a truck for J&B Leasing Company of Toledo, Ohio.
