Rachel M. Melillo, 80, Brookville, died, Friday, April 29, 2011, in Brookville.
She was born June 14, 1930, in Walston, a daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (Chido) Cardamone.
June 11, 1955, in Walston, she married Eugene Melillo, who preceded her in death April 7, 1993.
Mrs. Melillo was a homemaker and special “Mommy Rae” and “Nana” to many children whom she lovingly cared for in her home for many years.
She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville, the Altar Rosary Society at the church and the Catholic Daughters of America.
The Very Rev. Gregory Allen Kirsch, J.C.L., V.F., 55, who was currently serving as pastor of Christ the King Parish in Houtzdale and at Immaculate Conception Parish in Madera, died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born May 29, 1955, in Clearfield, a son of the late Clair Joseph and Ruth Ermina (Feighner) Kirsch.Â
He attended St. Francis School from 1961 to 1969, then attended St. Francis High School, graduating in 1973.
Fr. Kirsch attended the Pennsylvania State University from 1973 to 1975 and then entered St. Mark Seminary, Erie.
