March 27th
Robert L. "Gup" Grube, 54, Plumville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born July 19, 1956, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Harry Fredrick Grube and Ruth O. (Campbell) Grube.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church.
June 25, 1983, he married Ann (Swarm) Grube, who survives, of Plumville.
Richard "Dick" Lithgow, 82, Lakeland, Fla., died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, of respiratory failure.
He was born June 26, 1928, in Derry, a son of the late John and Carolyn Lithgow.
He was married to his wife of 46 years, Jeanne Anne (Ferguson) Lithgow, who preceded him in death. He then married Trudi (Robinson) Lithgow, who survives, of Lakeland.
Mr. Lithgow was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army as chief pharmacist for the 2nd Division while serving in the Korean War.
March 24th
Maurice E. George, 87, Johnstown (formerly of North Freedom), died early Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at the Maple Winds Care Center in Portage.
He was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Redbank Township, Armstrong County, a son of the late William M. and Carrie (Dinger) George.
Jan. 31, 1945, he married Betty M. Brocious, and they recently celebrated their 66th anniversary.
Mr. George was a member of the North Freedom United Methodist Church. He was the secretary and treasurer of the Redbank Township (Armstrong County) supervisors for 35 years and was a scoutmaster.
John E. "Jack" Kovalyak, 81, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
He was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late John and Anna (Kallas) Kovalyak.
Aug. 30, 1952, he married Shirley (Dorworth) Kovalyak, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Kovalyak was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Byznatine Church.
He enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening. He was hard-working and independent all of his life, and was very fond of his four-legged friends, especially his dog Roxy.
Surviving relatives include four nephews and four nieces.
Merle F. “Frank” Milliron, 89, Rochester Mills, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Jefferson Manor in Brookville.
Mr. Milliron was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army.
He was married to Alverda (Plyler) Milliron, who survives, of Rochester Mills.
Mr. Milliron was a man of many talents: A Christmas tree trimming artist, stone mason, Truck Patch Farmery (grew giant pumpkins) and loved having dogs near.

Aldona (Kokonaski) Miskavich Reilly, 91, Punxsutawney, and formerly of DuBois, died Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.
She was born Sept. 5, 1919, in DuBois, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Snurputis) Kokonaski.
She was married to Peter Miskavich, who preceded her in death. She then married James Reilly, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Reilly was a medical care worker in the Reynoldsville area and a member of Army & Navy Club in Punxsy.
March 20th
Carl Eugene Adams, 50, Dora-Timblin Road, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at UPMC Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born Oct. 21, 1960 in Brookville, a son of Joseph and Evelyn Marie (Dinger) Adams Jr., who survive, of Timblin.
Mr. Adams was a 1979 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a 2001 graduate of Triangle Tech.
June 30, 1990, he married the love of his life, Marcie Jo Ross, who survives.
He worked as a logger and later as an electrician for Caylor Electric.
Dorothy Divelbiss, 95, North Irwin, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Redstone Highlands in Greensburg.
She was born June 18, 1915, in Oliveburg, a daughter of the late Clair and Blanche McMillen Lukehart.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, in 1993.
Mrs. Divelbiss became the first full-time executive secretary of the Irwin Chamber of Commerce in 1967. For 14 years, she alone was the coordinator of the Irwin Community Picnic.
Howard G. Huey, 70, Glen Campbell, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center in Punxsutawney.
Mr. Huey was born March 14, 1941, in Glen Campbell, a son of the late Walter H. and Frances (Smith) Huey.
He was married to Mary L. (Engle) Huey, who survives, of Glen Campbell.
March 18th
Richard Decker, 67, Marion Center, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Â
He was born June 21, 1943, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Bud and Jessie Decker.
He was married to his wife of 44 years, Tootie.
Mr. Decker served in the U.S. Army, based in Korea, with an honorable discharge in 1963.
