Evelyn C. (Manges) Huey, 97

Evelyn C. (Manges) Huey, 97, of Aultman, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at the Beacon Ridge Nursing Center.

She was born in 1913 in Ligoner, a daughter of the late George and Ellen (Stouffer) Manges.

In 1934, she married Charles Huey, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Huey was a member of the Jacksonville Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Missionary Society.

She was a wife, mother and housewife, having resided in Aultman since 1942.

J. Karl Sutter, 80, Punxsutawney

J. Karl Sutter, 80, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital after a long illness.

A son of the late J.B. and Lillian (Sutter) Sutter, Mr. Sutter was born Oct. 9, 1930, in Covode.

May 14, 1951, he married Doris (Engle) Sutter, of Punxsutawney, who survives.

Mr. Sutter was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army.

He attended the CMA Church.

Marna B. Elkin, 75

Marna B. Elkin, 75, Smicksburg, passed away Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center, Punxsutawney.

She was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Findlay, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harry and Marie (Sterling) Altman.
Sept. 28, 1957, she married her husband of 53 years, Emory Elkin, who survives.

James K. Zents, 82

James K. Zents, 82, Brookville, died Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born June 8, 1928, in Brookville, a son of the late Harry Esmond and Alva Estella (Maxwell) Zents.
He made his home with Patricia A. McKinney, who survives.

Mr. Zents was a veteran of the Military Police, having served in the Korean conflict.

Carolyn F. Confer, 71

Carolyn F. Confer, 71, Sigel, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at home.

She was born June 25, 1939, in Sigel, a daughter of the late Chester and Francis (Smith) Fiscus.

She was married to Richard R. “Dick” Confer, who preceded her in death Nov. 10, 2001.

Mrs. Confer was a homemaker and previously worked at the Farmer’s Inn in Sigel.
