Thomas B. Barkley, 79, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at home with his family at his side.
He was born Nov. 19, 1932, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Joseph H. and Sarah Ruth (Orr) Barkley.
Dec. 20, 1953, he married Joan Work, who preceded him in death Dec. 23, 1970.
Feb. 3, 1974, he married Louise Lewis, who survives.
Mr. Barkley was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where he served as a church elder.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, he graduated from Punxsutawney High School in 1950.
