Jon A. Barletta, 62

Jon A. Barletta, 62, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, in Latrobe.

He was born April 7, 1949, in Clearfield, a son of the late Felix A. and Mary (Rezzolla) Barletta.

Mr. Barletta was a member of S.S. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
He attended Boston University and graduated from Gannon University in Erie.

Surviving relatives include two brothers, Robert T. Barletta and wife Victoria of New Castle, and Donald J. Barletta and wife Laura of State College.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

William C. Firment, 81

William C. Firment, 81, Altoona, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 19, 2011.

He was born January 22, 1930, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Michael and Veronica (Lellock) Firment.

July 25, 1994, he married Dorothy A. "Dottie" Iorio, who survives, of Altoona.

Mr. Firment attended Punxsutawney Area High School.

He was a member of the Mt. Carmel Church, Altoona, and the Bavarian Aid Society.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean conflict.

In 1992, he retired as a branch manager of Lance Cracker Co., where he worked for 32 years.

Joan Hulin, 82

Joan Hulin, 82, Northville, Mich., died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2011.
Mrs. Hulin was the loving wife of the late Frank J. Hulin.

Surviving relatives include two sons, William and Frank and wife Linda; two daughters-in-law, Anita and Joann; three grandchildren, Camilie, Derek and Samantha; a great-granddaughter, Haylie; and a niece, Diane Clark and husband Pat.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert.
Friends will be received at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2011, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 770 Thayer Blvd., Northville, MI, 48167.

Norman R. Pearce, 72

November 21, 2011

Norman R. Pearce, 72, Luthersburg, died Saturday, November 19, 2011, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

He was born Oct. 22, 1939, in Cherry Tree, the son of the late Edward L. & Alice E. (Downey) Pearce.

Jan. 26, 1963, he married Ruth (Haag) Pearce, who survives.

Mr. Pearce retired from Penelec as a chief lineman. He also owned and operated the Curwensville Tastee Freez.

He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and he enjoyed camping.
