Hazel Helene Minnick, 91

Hazel Helene Minnick, 91, of Fort Myers, Fla., and formerly of Punxsutawney, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Hope Hospice in Fort Myers.

She was born April 20, 1919, in Harmony, one of 11 children of Thomas and Violet (Beatty) Young Sr.  

She was married to Edward James Minnick Sr., who preceded her in death in 1999.

Mrs. Minnick lived in Punxsutawney for 40 years prior to moving to State College for about 10 years, and then settled in southwest Florida.

Teresa L. Murphy Davis Depp, 81

Teresa L. Murphy Davis Depp, 81, of Belle Valley, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at her residence following a brief illness.

A resident of Erie most of her life and Punxsutawney for 10 years, she was born Nov. 9, 1929, in Newell Creek, a daughter of the late Clement Joseph and Edith (McChesney) Murphy.

She was married to her first husband of 42 years, Theodore Davis, who preceded her in death. She then married James H. Depp, who also preceded her in death.

Alys Barr Hivick, 84

Alys Barr Hivick, 84, passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.

She was born May 18, 1926, in Hazen, a daughter of the late Clayton and Lydia (Swineford) Barr.

Mrs. Hivick graduated from Brookville Area High School and was a member of the Brookville Presbyterian Church. She worked in the office of Dr. Kenneth Shick for many years and later in the Assessment Office of the Jefferson County Courthouse.
