HARMONY â€” Only one minor injury occurred in a two-vehicle accident at a familiar spot along Route 310 (Harmony Road), Harmony, Young Township, on Saturday at 12:10 p.m.
According to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police, a 2012 Ford Fusion, driven by Bethany Beatty, 22, Anita, was traveling south on Route 310 when it crossed over the double yellow center lines and into the opposing lane of travel, where a 2008 Nissan Xterra, driven by Johanna F. Brown, 52, Anita, was traveling.
INDIANA â€” Musician John Tibbs, a former Punxsutawney resident, recently signed a deal with a record label and headed out on tour with big-name acts in Christian music, including such bands as the Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline and Finding Favour.
The nationwide tour, which is ongoing, is set to pass through the local area in April.
Tibbs said that his interest in music started young, when he began taking piano lessons at only about four years old.

Kaleb Young, who is currently in the midst of a run at the PIAA State Championship for AAA at 152 pounds, picked up a victory Friday afternoon in the quarter-finals to advance to Saturday's semi-finals.
Young defeated Downington East's James Meyer to earn the spot, with just four left in the champion's bracket. The semi-final round for AAA will begin Saturday at 9 a.m.
A two-vehicle accident was reported at 8:01 p.m. on Wednesday on Route 36 and Elderberry Hill Road, Fairview, Bell Township when a vehicle was traveling north on Route 36 and the driver lost control on the snow-covered road and crossed into the southbound lane. The vehicle was then struck by another vehicle, as the other vehicle traveled off the road and struck a snow bank. PSP-Punxsutawney was assisted at the scene by the Punxsutawney Fire Department, Jefferson County EMS and Rebuck's South Side Service. No further details are available at this time.
BROCKWAY â€” Jefferson County President Judge John Foradora officially announced his candidacy for Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court during a Tuesday meeting with supporters at The Rocky Grill in Brockway, according to a press release from his campaign team.
Due to weather conditions school has been cancelled for the Punxsutawney Area School District and SS.C.D.
Several members of the youth group at the First Church of God in Punxsutawney were out helping the Salvation Army refill the shelves at the emergency food bank on Monday. Pictured are Devanne States, Garrett McQuown and Nashaun Damore. Capt. Keith Jache, Salvation Army co-commander, said that many people brought food items for the food bank throughout the day Monday. He said a church from Troutville also brought non-perisahble items to the corps and that the need for items is year-round, with all donations being appreciated.
Crews from Punxsutawney Fire Department are among those responding to a reported structure fire in the area of 301 E. Main Street in Reynoldsville, according to scanner reports.
This is in the area of Dave's Main Street and the Reynoldsville Laundromat.
