VIDEO OF THE DAY: Good Things - Unforgettable Holiday Cookies
â€™Tis the season for best-in-show desserts, and a batch of homemade cookies is the perfect holiday gift for the friends, neighbors, and schoolteachers in our lives. Sandwich walnut cookies, allergy-friendly molasses cookies, and sparkling vanilla sandwich cookies will do the trick for all your cookie-giving needs.
It was Day 4 of the "Light Up a Child's Life" campaign for Make-A-Wish on Thursday morning, and both PAMS and PAHS participated in the campaign. Pictured are members of the PAHS Choir, who sang Christmas carols. As of Thursday morning, Lindsey Herzing, Make-A-Wish regional manager, said the campaign had raised almost $24,000. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Make-A-Wish was at Miller Brothers Furniture, where the campaign continued with the annual auction. Herzing said that this year, they are doing something a bit different by showing everything that is being bid on.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” Day 3 of the Punxsutawney "Light Up a Child's Life" campaign for Make-A-Wish started off with a bang on Wednesday, with Punxsutawney native and Cincinnati Reds catcher Devin Mesoraco and his wife helping out at Caterina's Cafe for the Make-A-Wish campaign.
In the afternoon, Make-A-Wish traveled to Mulberry Square, where the SS.C.D. Children's Choir sang beautiful Christmas carols for the residents.

According to Google, which released a report Tuesday on the top trending terms of the year, the top term overall was "Robin Williams," after the well-known and popular comedian died in August. PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” The Punxsutawney "Light Up a Child's Life" in Punxsutawney got off to a fast start Monday, with a little over $5,000 raised on the first day of broadcasting on WPXZ FM 104.1.
Lindsey Herzing, Make-A-Wish regional manager, said the first day was fabulous, kicked off at Ragley's True Value Hardware in Punxsutawney, and they are broadcasting all week from Miller Brothers Furniture from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
