Young Twp. Supervisors reorganize for 2014

The Young Township Supervisors held their reorganization meeting on Monday.

Local crews respond to one-car rollover

January 7, 2014

The Central Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call with the Rossiter Volunteer Fire Company involving a one-vehicle accident that occurred at 1:06 p.m. Tuesday on the Buffalo Lodge Road and
Wehrle Drive.

The driver was able to get out of the vehicle, and the Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police were investigating.

No further details were available at Spirit press time.

Big Run Council reorganizes

Members of the Big Run Borough Council held a reorganization meeting Monday evening, at which time Nick Lantz was sworn in as president, John Smeal as borough council member and Laura Lantz as borough tax collector.
