Jefferson County Business Park takes another step forward with designation of KOEZ

State and local politicians and representatives of a number of area organizations gathered on Friday to announce that the site of the planned Jefferson County Business Park will officially be designated as a Keystone Opportunity Expansion Zone (KOEZ), placing a flat 10-year tax abatement on the property.

Big Run VFW hosting bloodmobile

The Big Run VFW No. 9044 is holding a bloodmobile from noon to 6 p.m. Monday at the Big Run Volunteer Fire Hall, sponsored by Marion Center Bank’s Big Run branch.

The blood drive is dedicated to the memory of Sara D. Fox, past president of the Ladies Auxiliary.

The blood drive is also in honor of Chuck Fox, who is an honorary Post No. 9044 member.
