Punxsy grad operating chiropractic practice just up the road in Indiana

INDIANA — There is a saying that everything happens for a reason. An athlete who suffered an injury may look at the injury as the end of the world, but really, it may very well be a blessing in disguise.

It took such an injury to show one Punxsy native what he was destined to do.

Dr. Kolby Mumau was born and raised in Punxsutawney. He is a 2006 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, where he was very active in sports.

County commissioners proclaim January National Mentoring Month, hear update on Trooper Wilson

BROOKVILLE — The Jefferson County commissioners proclaimed that the county will be participating in the recognition of National Mentoring Month throughout January at their meeting on Wednesday.

The meeting also drew a number of visitors, including Sgt. Thomas Josephson, PSP-DuBois station commander, who delivered an update on the status of injured state trooper Bradley Wilson.
