Council continues FEMA discussion; Conrad added to full-time force

West End students reel in the dough for PACC

The students at West End Elementary School recently made a donation of $600 to the Punxsutawney Area Community Center (PACC) Digital Projector fund.

The money was raised by the students as part of their Give Back to the Community program.

School board discusses issues with district pool

PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney School Board held a meeting Monday night, with one of the most intensely discussed issues being the middle school swimming pool.

Jack White, board member, said that he received a report back in August of 2011 about something being wrong with the installation of the swimming pool.

Phantastic facelift: PNC unveils new Phil

The Phantastic Phil at PNC Bank has undergone a complete transformation to the bank’s own mission colors, and the new Phil has a Grow Up Great theme.
