State police, DA’s office release details on area meth lab arrests

Jefferson County District Attorney Jeffrey Burkett (left) and Capt. Bernard V. Petrovsky, commanding officer, Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police, are pictured holding a press conference at Troop C headquarters in Punxsutawney on Friday, where information was released relative to the arrest of three individuals who were allegedly manufacturing and distributing methamphetamine throughout the area.

Making the cut: Rough year for Kettle Campaign means Salvation Army re-evaluating programs

The Punxsutawney Salvation Army came up $20,000 short in its Red Kettle
Campaign and is looking at having to cut some programs.
