PERRY TOWNSHIP â€” Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police released no further details on Monday concerning a homicide investigation resulting from the recovery of human remains found Sunday in Mahoning Creek off of Miller Road in the village of Hamilton in Perry Township.
Late Sunday night, PSP-Punxsy said that the case had been deemed a homicide investigation, and that the remains located were those of a white male.
At its annual Fall Dinner on Saturday, the Punxsutawney Area Historical & Genealogical Society honored two organizations with Certificates of Commendation.
