HENDERSON TOWNSHIP — A 12-year-old boy died in an accident Saturday, according to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said the incident occurred at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, as the boy’s father was operating a Bobcat compact track loader along a private roadway off Rainbow Road in Henderson Township.
The boy was operating a horse-drawn wagon and inadvertently traveled behind the loader, which struck him, according to police.
Jefferson County Coroner Bernard Snyder pronounced the boy dead at the scene.

A Mountain of Ore
The Punxsutawney Iron Company is putting in an immense quantity of ore. A little mountain of it is piled up on the grounds containing about 50,000 tons, and the company expects to have as much more there before navigation closes on the lakes.
