It's bloodmobile time in Punxsutawney from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the SS.C.D. cafeteria at 2095 Chestnut St. in Punxsy.
The bloodmobile is sponsored by the Punxsy American Legion Post and VFW.
Pat Rougeux, Red Cross volunteer, American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 62 secretary and VFW Post No. 2076 auxiliary chaplain said that all blood types are urgently needed, and walk-ins are welcome.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” A fire that broke out early Sunday morning caused heavy smoke and water damage at a three-story house located at 211 Pine St.
"All three Punxsutawney Fire Companies â€” Central, Elk Run and Lindsey â€” were called to the house at 2:04 a.m. Sunday, when the next-door neighbor heard the sound of glass breaking and saw that a second-floor bedroom appeared to be on fire,â€ť said Bryan Smith, Punxsutawney Fire Department chief.
