For children who love to camp or dream of camping, there is a new opportunity, as they are welcome to come out to a different type of camp.
This Sunday, the First Assembly of God in Walston will begin the Son Rock Kids Camp Vacation Bible School.
The event will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. July 21 through 26 at the church in Walston.
Kids in pre-school through sixth grade will not only learn Bible teachings, but also get the chance to make birdhouses, design backpacks and make binoculars, as well as other camping-type crafts and activities.
These pups and their handlers have been busy doing their service to the public as volunteers at Punxsutawney Area Hospital, where the Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) program recently started.
