PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” If you are looking for something to keep your children busy the day after school lets out today, then think about sending them to the Crosstown Ministries Vacation Bible School, to be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday through Friday at Grace United Methodist Church located on Hillcrest Drive in Young Township, just below Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Shelley Bishop, Christian education leader at Grace United Methodist Church, said that Crosstown Ministries consists of Grace, Woodland Avenue and Mount Tabor United Methodist churches.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” Organizers of last yearâ€™s first ever PAHS Alumni Band concert are finalizing plans to do it again this summer.
Last yearâ€™s strong alumni turnout and rousing musical results inspired dozens of former Punxsutawney Area High School band members to sign up for a repeat performance.
This yearâ€™s concert is once again free to the public and will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, at the Punxsutawney Area High School auditorium.
Borough Police responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday at the intersection of Gaskill Avenue and Indiana Street, Punxsutawney.

Right of Way for the Railroad
About two and ode-half years ago, Mr. C. F. Burnham of DuBois, in the interest of B. R. & P. Railroad, took up the right of way along the survey of the proposed road through this vicinity.
