It's the end of the school year, and for one PAHS senior, it’s been a year of working toward a goal that he has finally achieved.
A.J. Carey did his senior project for a place that he holds dear to his heart — the Punxsutawney Memorial Library.
His project consisted of selling $10 Sheetz coupon books with the money raised going to the library.
Pictured is Carey (left) presenting Coral Ellshoff, library director (right), with a check for $800.
With a group of students cheering him on, Punxsutawney Area High School senior Devon Vallies, an AmeriCorps volunteer, is pictured preparing to go down the slide in the bounce house during the annual PTO Reading Carnival at Longview Elementary School recently.
