DuBOIS â On night when the action on the court was not very pretty, Punxsy proved to have just enough in the tank over the final two minutes.
With less than eight seconds left, the Lady Chucksâ Taylor Newcome found herself all alone under the basket and received the Jensen Constantino pass for what would be the game-winning layup, 32-30, over the Lady Beavers.
The Newcome bucket made for the final points of the game and completed Punxsyâs 5-0 scoring run in the final 127 seconds of the affair.
ST. MARYS â It is not always how you start, but rather how you finish.

Punxsy was able to rush out to a 24-0 lead behind the heart of its order in the lightweights.
But the tide turned as the heavier wrestlers took their turn for the action. St. Marys scored bonus points in seven straight bouts and won eight straight upperweights in a 43-30 home victory over Punxsy.

Now, there's news that the Margiotti Bridge will need to be replaced.
BROOKVILLE â âItâs kind of like âIndiana Jonesâ,â said Ken Burkett, the director of the Jefferson County History Center. âWeâve got the secret journal with the codes in it, and weâve got the rocks out there that weâve got to find. Itâs kind of a fun way of putting things together.â
