November 4, 2013

Students from the IUP Culinary School were out collecting donations last Saturday to help the Punxsutawney Area Community Center (PACC) raise money to purchase a digital projector to replace the old 35mm projector.

Pictured is Rob McCoy (center), PACC director, accepting a donation in the amount of $1,300 that was raised by students during Tag Days.

McCoy said that so far, $30,000 has been raised by various groups.

The cost of a digital projector is approximately $70,000, and the board of directors is hoping to purchase one before the end of spring.
