PUNXSUTAWNEY ÂÂâ Christmas has been described as a "magical" time of year,
and if you're looking to capture some of that magic, you might want to take in a performance of the Living Christmas Tree (LCT) at the First Church of God (FCOG) in Punxsutawney.
Free tickets will be available beginning Monday for this year's edition of the Living Christmas Tree at the church, located at 23 Skyview Drive.
For ticket details and performance times, pick up Saturday's edition of The Spirit.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â Have you started your Christmas shopping as of yet? Even if you have, then you might want to add some more names to your list
from Mulberry Square in Punxsy.
Vickie Amundson, Mulberry Square activities director, said they are holding a Christmas party on Dec. 23, and Santa Claus will be coming to bring gifts to all of the residents.
"We're looking for the community to purchase gifts for Santa to give to the residents so that everybody has one," Amundson said, adding that for this party, the gifts will all come from the community.
(Editorâs note: This piece is one in a series of âFamiliar Faces Fridayâ features to be written by Spirit reporter Destiny Pifer. The point of the project will be to highlight a member of the community who may be recognizable to many and tell his or her story. Todayâs familiar face is Josh Greenblatt.)
PUNXSUTAWNEY â Josh Greenblatt is a recognizable face. You may recognize him as the owner of Vision Creative Solutions, or perhaps you have seen him coaching Little League down at the baseball complex.
Outdoor Christmas decorations just like this inflatable snowman may be popping up all over Punxsy soon, as Agape Student Housing is sponsoring an outdoor decorating contest.
For details, see Friday's edition of The Spirit.
