Hereâ€™s a list of local trick-or-treat/Halloween events:
â€¢ Brookville â€” Halloween will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 31.
The parade will be held at 5 p.m., starting at the Y.M.C.A. and ending at the Brookville Fire Dept. on Madison Avenue.
Trick-or-treating will begin at 5:30 p.m., immediately after the parade, and will continue until 8 p.m.
â€¢ Big Run Borough â€” Big Run Borough will hold trick or treat from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.
Trick or treaters are to go only to homes with the porch light on.
At long last, the detours that have plagued Punxsy have ended, as the new bridge carrying Route 36 over Sawmill Run in Punxsutawney was opened to normal traffic patterns on Friday.
According to Deborah Casadei, PennDOT District 10 public information officer, work will continue on the project under flagger-controlled lane restrictions.
This $1,091,540 bridge replacement project is being completed by M & B Services, LLC of Clarion.
The bridge has been closed since August.
