MCCALMONT TOWNSHIP â€” A barn and a vehicle parked next to it were destroyed in a quickly-spreading fire that was reported at 3:51 p.m. Sunday on Airport Road, McCalmont Township.
"When I arrived on scene the barn was fully involved, along with a Jeep Cherokee that was parked next to the structure at the Greg Skarbek residence at 3618 Airport Road," said Orrie Manners, McCalmont Township Fire Department chief.
Manners said at this time, he's not sure as to how the fire started.

ROBERT CLARKE DEAD
PUNXSUTAWNEY â€” Police, corrections and probation officers from Jefferson and Clearfield counties recently graduated from The Right Turn Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training that was held at the IUP Punxsutawney campus.
The Right Turn Program is a joint effort of the Clearfield and Jefferson County Criminal Justice Advisory boards, said John Brown, instructor and police officer for Clearfield and Punxsutawney.
Brown said the purpose of the program is to teach officers how to handle people who are in crisis situations or have behavioral problems.Â
