PUNXSUTAWNEY — As the countdown to Christmas continues, Punxsutawney Mayor James Wehrle is asking area residents to send greetings to servicemen and women who are stationed overseas during the holiday season.

Wehrle said he has a supply of composition books, in which people can write holiday greetings, set up next to the Punxsutawney Borough Council
Chambers in the Mahoning East Civic Center this week.

"People can write well wishes, holiday greetings or anything they want in the books to the troops, no matter where they're stationed," he said.
