Each year, five women are chosen by the Punxsutawney Career Women’s Club for Career Women’s Week. The criteria used for choosing these women are based not only on their professional efforts, but also on the contributions they’ve made to community and family.
PUNXSUTAWNEY — Things are looking up at the partially renovated Mahoning and Findley Street building in downtown Punxsutawney, as the installation of an elevator has been completed.
The building, owned by Bev Fairman recently received a facelift, with a new elevator being installed.
The third-floor offices were also redone, and a flashy sign spiced up the entryway, as well.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday, members of the Punxsutawney Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident near the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church near Wal-Mart in Young Township.
No further details were available at The Spirit’s press time.
