Editor's Note: Sources close to Kadie Stonebraker's family reported that Kadie passed away earlier this morning, Saturday, Aug. 13.
MARION CENTER â She has a guitar pick and a bracelet from her idol â not to mention a dress just like the one in the music video, but this week, some of the pieces of the puzzle finally came together for four-year-old Kadie Stonebraker.
BROOKVILLE â The following is a statement issued by the Jefferson County Department of Emergency Services, following the arrest of now-former Big Run firefighter Anthony Overbeck, 18, Big Run, on arson and related charges pertaining to an Aug. 9 fire along Pennsylvania Avenue in Big Run:
While most people in the Big Run area feel relieved with the recent arrest in the string of arsons, one group of individuals struggles to figure out why this happened.
This group, charged with saving lives and property, is the Big Run Area Volunteeer Fire Company.

Neal: Charges are not an indictment of firefighters
PUNXSUTAWNEY â Thursday, state police formally announced charges against a teenage member of the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company stemming from an Aug. 9 fire in Big Run, and said he has also been implicated in several other fires dating back to 2010.
Officials from PSP-Punxsutawney and the district attorney noted, however, that charges filed against Anthony M. Overbeck, 18, Big Run, are not an indictment of other firefighters.
The Del Sinchak Band â (from left) Ron "Austie" Austalosh, Joe Colapietro, Sinchak, Alan Koss and Bob Smrecansky â performed polka and other favorites Thursday during the sixth installment of the Music in the Park Series in Barclay Square. Sinchak, now in his 61st year as a band leader, formed the group with drummer Smrecansky when he was in seventh grade, and Sinchak was in eighth grade. There are only two more Music in the Park shows left for the summer â Rocky Top (classic country) next week and The LaVelles (swing/country rock) the week after â so donât put your lawn chairs away just yet.
BROOKVILLE â At a June Jefferson County Commission meeting, the commissioners said that eliminating the position of jury commissioner would save the county $12,000.
And then, at a July meeting, Commissioner Jim McIntyre said legislation to eliminate the position of jury commissioner will be back on the table this fall.
But he is âanticipating that it will be the decision of the county commissioners, and not a referendum.â

PUNXSUTAWNEY â Police said early Wednesday morning, an 18-year-old Big Run teen described to them how he set two fires in an unoccupied residence Monday evening, the latest of several fires classified as arson over the last few months.
Wednesday morning, Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police reported the arrest of Anthony Overbeck, 18, Big Run, who faces charges of arson and related offenses; burglary; and criminal trespass pertaining to the fire that occurred between 11 p.m. Aug. 8 and 12:12 a.m. Aug. 9.
Overbeck is a member of the Big Run Area Volunteer Fire Company.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â About 20 local residents heard about WPSU-TVâs proposed âOur Town: Punxsutawneyâ Wednesday evening in the Jackson Theater, with several story ideas suggested and cameras issued to those ready to start rolling.
âYou get to tell us what you want in the show,â said Jessica Peters, who, along with fellow WPSU-TV producer Whitney Chirdon, described the process of coming up with ideas and stories, filming scenes of those stories and talking about them before all the stories are edited and prepared for a revisited âOur Town: Punxsutawneyâ set to air in October.
PUNXSUTAWNEY â The tent is up, and the Elk Run Volunteer Fire Companyâs Trash & Treasure Sale is ready to get underway beginning from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. today through Sunday at 219 Elk Run Ave., next to the Elk Run Firehall in Punxsy.
Company member Patrick Meckley said the fire company has been accepting donations for the sale over the last several months, with the proceeds going toward the companyâs truck fund for a new engine.
