PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsutawney Area Community Center and Fox's Pizza teamed up to hold their second annual fund-raiser, "Eat a Pizza, Make a Difference," during the week of April 10-16.

The goal for the fund-raiser was to sell 1,000 pizzas, allowing Fox's to donate a dollar a pizza to the community center; however, if 2,000 pizzas were sold, $4,000 would be donated.
BELL TOWNSHIP — A Punxsutawney man was injured in a one-vehicle accident when he struck a tree at approximately 5:45 p.m. Sunday along Route 119 in Bell Township, across from Jefferson Machine.
According to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police, a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Steven Test, 35, was traveling southbound on Route 119 when, for unknown reasons, he struck a tree head on.
Route 119 was closed for nearly an hour while debris and fluids from the accident were removed from the road way.
